Northrop Grumman is looking for a Fuzing and Warheads Operating Unit Program Director 2 reporting to the Vice President of the Missile Products Business Unit (BU), this position is responsible for driving the strategy, growth, and execution for the Fuzing and Warheads Operating Unit, and also serves as the Missile Products Site Lead in Plymouth, MN.
The role is responsible for a team of program managers and engineers who capture and execute multi-million-dollar programs, this position also drives all functions of the business through a matrixed organization including Contracts, Operations, Supply Chain, Business Management, and Business Development. As one of the fastest growing organizations within Missile Products, the programs within the Fuzing and Warheads Operating Unit are of high financial and strategic importance to Northrop Grumman.
The successful candidate will:

Lead business capture both domestically and internationally.

Partner effectively across organizational lines to achieve goals and objectives, preferably with specific appreciation for the interactions across various sites, engineering disciplines, processes, and roles and responsibilities on complex DoD programs.
Coordinate with the broader Missile Products Business Unit, Weapon Systems division, Sector, Company, and industry to identify and leverage existing resources, tools, and practices to address Fuzing and Warheads needs.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in engineering, business, or related discipline.
10 years of experience in pursuit, capture, design, development, EMD, low-rate initial production and full rate production.
10 years of experience managing development and production programs with the United States Government and the International acquisition structure.
Ability to manage revenue, profit, and cash performance of programs.
Ability to operate and lead in team environment, and to teach/mentor others to manage in same way.
Ability to resolve disputes and negotiate with positive outcome while maintaining good relationships with customers.
Strong formal and informal communication skills with all levels of internal and external management.
Ability to make good decisions and exercise appropriate judgment that balances customer and Northrop Grumman needs.
Ability to plan, follow-up and deliver to commitments.
Ability to manage risk to reduce likelihood and severity of program impacts.
Familiarity with all stages of program lifecycle from EMD, LRIP, FRP, and sustainment.
Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance
Must be able to travel 25-30 domestic and internationally
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in managing programs across geographically separated locations.
Familiarity with products produced by the Missile Products Business Unit.
Familiarity with products in artillery, electronic fuzing, or energetic production.
Demonstrated background of effective stakeholder/campaigns at the Program Office, Pentagon, and Capitol Hill.
Active Secret clearance
Behavioral Competencies for Success:
Salary Range: $240,100 - $360,100
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
