POSITION SUMMARY
Program Manager is responsible for leading all phases of the program life cycle from inception (proposal development) startup, execution, and serialization to a family of products. The objective is to manage projects related to a successful assembly line of executive jets to increase product competitiveness and profitability while supporting customer value-creation strategies. This position will help lead a cross-functional organization aligned with common program performance goals.
JOB RESPONSIBLITIES
- Elaborate business plans, business cases, trade-off and program management plans.
- Manage projects to improve profitability, product competitiveness, market share, and customer satisfaction.
- Analyze and manage Program P&L, leading projects to increase the profitability either reducing COGS or increasing/maintaining revenue as planned.
- Manage Production Plan at a strategic level (PIPO), considering financial, industrial, and customer-related aspects.
- Coordinate S&OP process under the program level.
- Quote product new features, versions, and configurations.
- Manage Program portfolio (PMO) related to product evolution, selecting, analyzing and executing the most relevant projects.
- Manage Program Budget (R&D, Capex, etc)
- Manage projects related to the product or processes among internal areas, suppliers and customers
- Generate and monitor key performance indicators related to production, A/C deliveries, product development, customer satisfaction, and financial results.
- Elaborate scenarios, propose alternatives, identify risks, and support the development of recovery plans for activities/projects/programs.
- Analyze and approve Aircraft Orders / new configurations according to the customer contracts.
- Coordinate the meetings of the Configuration Control Board (CCB), integrating Engineering, Planning, Procurement for the best definition of the product modification cut ins.
- Coordinate product Value Stream Map integrating all the areas across the board, proposing improvements related to lead time and inventory reduction.
- Coordinate the A/C delivery plan integrating areas across the board, mitigating risks, and setting up plans to comply with contractual dates.
- Participate in related events with customers and suppliers.
- Elaborate area guidelines, procedures and Action Plans.
- Represent the program management office with the business and financial areas regarding the definition of costs and budget monitoring.
- Represent the program in the audits.
- Exercise situational leadership in the program management office.
- Evaluate and simulate complex scenarios within the scope of the Business Unit.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education:
- BSE, BS or BA Undergraduate degree typically required in a related field of study plus Project Management Professional (PMP) or related certification.
- If individual possess an MS or MA graduate degree in a related field of study, prior work experience of 3-4 years in a Project/Program Management Discipline acceptable.
Experience:
- Generally, 8-10 years of experience in the Project/Program Management Discipline with a minimum of two (3) years in a Project/Program Manager Role managing high priority projects/programs.
- Executive Aviation Market experience is desirable.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Broad knowledge of business case analysis, KPIs, dashboard reporting, and revenue/cogs/expenses control.
- Comprehension of Project/Portfolio/Program Management Fields (PMP knowledge).
- Ability to multi-task, working well in a fast-paced environment and being comfortable with deadlines and decision making.
- Demonstrated analytical skills and systemic view.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a timely manner and sensitive environment.
- Verbal/written communication skills and ability to deal with different levels and audiences.
- Collaborative profile.
