What You Will Do
Leonardo DRS in Menomonee Falls, WI is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to support the management of government engineering development programs from concept through delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program monitoring, proposal development, cost management, data analysis, and effective collaboration with diverse teams. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage complex projects, meet deadlines, and exceed customer expectations. The individual selected for this role will leverage their expertise in proposal writing and financial oversight as they work closely with one of our largest customers and programs.
How You Will Do It
- Act as a key support resource to manage all phases of government engineering development programs, from initial concept to final delivery.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans to ensure successful project execution.
- Monitor program performance through data analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, procurement, and quality assurance, to achieve project objectives.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, including senior management and government customers.
- Ensure compliance with all DoD and US Navy regulations, standards, and requirements.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness.
- Lead project meetings, including kick-offs, status updates, and reviews.
- Prepare and deliver presentations and reports to internal and external stakeholders.
- Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
What You Will Bring to the Table
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in project management within a government contracting environment as well as a proven history of developing bids and proposals for existing customers and programs.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certified or a desire to obtain one.
- Proven track record of managing complex engineering development programs.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera), Earned Value Management System (EVMS), and Agile methodologies.
- Understanding of DoD acquisition processes and regulations; experience with the US Navy is highly preferred.
- Candidates must be US citizens (no dual citizenship) and meet DRS security standards as imposed by DoD, including the issuance of any necessary security clearance by the US government within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
