Job Description:

Amentum is currently seeking a Project/Task Manager IV to support the PM Soldier Survivability (PM SSV) project office under Program Executive Office (PEO) Soldier, Ft. Belvoir, VA. This position will afford you an opportunity to be part of a dynamic and cohesive team whose mission is to provide and rapidly deliver enhanced protection, individual equipment, and aviation life support capabilities, which provides combat overmatch and facilitates mission execution.

As a Project/Task Manager IV you will be expected to provide the following support to the Project Manager Soldier Survivability:

  • Serves as the contractor on site program manager. 

  • Provides day to day direction, management, and oversight for contractor personnel.

  • Provides expert functional guidance to employees.

  • Interfaces with Government management to resolve problems.

  • Resolves contractor personnel problems and issues when identified by the Government lead or Contracting Officers’ Representative (COR).

  • Establishes priorities of work to subordinates based on Government goals and objectives.

  • Interfaces between Government customer, COR and Contractor.

  • Performs other PM direct support functional roles.

  • Distribute and balance workload in accordance with established workflows and assure timely accomplishment of the assigned workload.

  • Give on the job training to new employees in accordance with established procedures and practices.

  • Lead the team in assessing its strengths and weaknesses and provide leadership to the team in exploring alternatives and determining improvements.

  • Articulate and communicate to the team the assignment, problem to be solved, actionable events, milestones, suspense’s and time frames for completion.

  • Assigns work to personnel according to workload, ability and priority of assignment and provides instruction and assistance as necessary on problems or issues.

  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring and training contractor employees.

  • Responsible for performance of all contractual requirements.

  • Negotiation 

  • Personal organization. 

  • Risk management. Defense Acquisition System

Required Clearance:

  • ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Secret. Please note US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Government Clearance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field

  • At least fifteen (15) years related work experience is required.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full‐time position, Monday through Friday. Flexibility around core hours. Travel may occur outside of normal core hours. This position is currently authorized for hybrid telework which currently includes two days on-site and three days telework. This telework designation is subject to change at the discretion of the Government.
