Quality Manager- Flight Training

Job Description:

The Airbus Flight Training Organization in India is a part of the global Training Services network of Airbus. It specializes in imparting Type Rating Course and specialized Courses to pilots, ensuring highest training quality and safety standards with state of the art training devices (full flight simulators etc.) . It&39;s approved by DGCA, India and EASA.
The Quality Manager-Flight Training is a post holder position for the DGCA Approved Training Organization (ATO) approval and is the Local Compliance Monitoring Manager of the Airbus ATO under the EASA Approval
Responsibilities-
DGCA ATO Approval- 
- Post holder for the DGCA ATO and Flight Simulation Training Devices (FSTD) approval. Being responsible to ensure compliance of the training center with the DGCA regulation and verify the same on a continuous basis 
- The focal point for all communications with DGCA- Flight Standards Directorate (FSD).
- Responsible for processing and obtaining approvals and extension of scope of approval by DGCA for the ATO and FSTDs.
- Reports actual or potential non-compliance with Airbus standards and regulatory standards to the Accountable Manager.
- Coordinates all quality related activities in liaison with the Head of Flight Training, Head of Training devices and Accountable Manager. Supporting the team to understand quality and regulatory issues.
- Manages the Flight Training and FSTD Quality assurance system in accordance with Training Organization Approval Authorities requirements and the Airbus quality policy
- Establishing and promoting the quality culture and continuous improvement.
- Provides the Training quality department with business performance data (Trainee Feedback, indicators for Quality management review, etc and to communicate risk and negative trends to the Management.
- Contributes to various quality initiatives and workshops in order to promote quality mindset and process awareness including BMS adherence 
- As an Airbus Internal Auditor, conduct internal audits and assessments as per the surveillance plan in coordination with the Quality Audit Manager which could include the global network of ATO and FSTD. Create, circulate the audit reports and coordinate with Action Plan leaders for conducting the root cause analysis etc. to drive the findings to closure and drive continuous improvement.
EASA ATO Approval (Local Compliance Monitoring Manager) – 
- Responsible to ensure compliance of the training center with the Airbus ATO Flight Crew Training manuals / EASA regulations and verify the same on a continuous basis.
- Coordinate with the Central ATO Compliance Monitoring Manager and Central FSTD Compliance Monitoring Manager for all quality and compliance related matters.
- Coordinate with regional Aviation authorities in the region for approval of the Airbus ATO and FSTDs.
- coordinating the Internal audit /EASA audits of the Training organization and support closure of audit findings

You will lead and drive the resolution of complex quality issues and continuous improvement projects by setting the measurement standards and identifying/facilitating improvements to increase:
- Process performance and product adherence to standards
- Reliability of processes
Qualification 

• should hold a diploma/degree in Aeronautical Engineering/Aircraft Maintenance Engineering/ Science or equivalent
• have a good understanding on the aviation regulations related to ATO and FSTDs (EASA/ DGCA)

Experience

• Should have at least five years of experience in the quality domain within an ATO/simulator maintenance organization/ Aviation approved Organization.
• should have the experience of conducting audits and associated follow up actions towards continual improvement.
