Position Summary:

The Quality Manager holds a pivotal leadership role, responsible for driving and managing the plant’s quality assurance and control initiatives. This position ensures that all products meet stringent aerospace standards and regulatory requirements, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. This position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to significantly impact the quality and reliability of aerospace products. The Quality Manager will be a key player in ensuring our plant&39;s success and reputation for excellence in the aerospace industry.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with industry standards such as AS9100 and AS13100. Ensure that all processes align with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing quality assurance team. Foster a collaborative environment that emphasizes teamwork, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Drive continuous improvement programs to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and optimize manufacturing processes. Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve quality performance.
  • Oversee the investigation of quality issues using root cause analysis methodologies. Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to mitigate risks and prevent recurrence.
  • Reviews and approves all revisions to internal process procedures and Quality system procedures to assure that documentation meets current regulatory and customer requirements. (I.e. NADCAP and AS9100).
  • Schedules and reviews internal and external audits to assure that any out of compliances with product, processes, or procedures are identified, documented, and corrected.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all quality-related customer inquiries and audits. Ensure timely and effective resolution of customer complaints and non-conformances.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain and procurement teams to assess and improve supplier quality. Conduct supplier audits and develop strategies to address supplier-related quality issues.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive performance reports to senior executives, including KPIs, trend analysis, and long-term strategies to improve product quality.
  • May performs other duties as assigned.
  • Oversee Quality for the FAA Part 145 Repair Station, to include: Internal audit, shelf life, and training programs, FAA Capabilities list, Quality Manual (QM), Repair Station Manual (RSM)

Required Skills:

  • Strong technical acumen required including an in-depth understanding of quality systems and requirements.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, mentor, and develop a high-performing quality team. This includes driving accountability by setting clear expectations, monitoring performance, and fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement across the organization.
  • Ability to manage complex quality issues and strong proficiency in using various problem-solving methodologies and tools to develop effective corrective and preventive actions that enhance overall product quality and reliability.
  • Possess a strong executive presence and excellent communication skills, essential for effectively presenting complex quality data and improvement strategies to senior executives and customers. This includes the ability to clearly articulate findings, propose actionable solutions, and foster confidence in the organization’s commitment to quality.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change, championing new ideas and continuously questioning existing processes to drive innovation and improvement. Fosters a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging creative problem-solving, and implementing best practices to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Strategic thinker capable of setting a clear vision and developing long-term strategies for the quality department. Aligns departmental goals with the organization&39;s objectives, anticipating future challenges, and strategically planning initiatives that drive sustained quality improvements and operational excellence.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in quality management.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role, demonstrating the ability to lead quality teams and drive organizational change.
  • Candidates should have a proven track record of implementing and managing Quality Management Systems (QMS) in compliance with industry standards such as AS9100, NADCAP, and AS13100.
  • Experience utilizing 8D methodology to conduct root cause analysis.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with FAA

Level of Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • ASQ Certified Quality Manager preferred
  • Six Sigma Greenbelt required / Blackbelt preferred

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $125,100 to $187,700 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 3X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company&39;s medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
