The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000 Salary.
Position Summary:
The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for utilizing the Quality Management System of the company and be the Quality Control Management Representative. The QC Supervisor must have an in depth knowledge of customer specifications, and be able to fully interpret their requirements. The QC Supervisor shall interact with various customers and internal personnel efficiently and effectively. In addition, the QC supervisor must be able to resolve issues and respond to Corrective and Preventive Actions, address non-conforming product, and use the quality policies, standards, procedures, programs and practices while aiming for a zero defect goal.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Supervise Inspection Personnel
- Shop floor inspections
- Conduct Root Cause and Corrective Actions for internal and external non-conformances
- Review customer specifications for inspection compliance
- Create rework instructions
- Contract Review / PO Review
- Certification Review
- Communicates well with leadership, team members and other departments
- Able to read, understand and follow written instructions such as masking instruction on route cards. Uses measuring equipment such as rulers and calipers as required by specific jobs to measure an area requiring masking per customer instructions
- Able to write and record all information required on documentation such as filling out required information on route cards related to time and materials utilized in the masking process
- Communicates any or all lack of understanding of route card or verbal instructions
- Must identify jobs which are not ready to mask (not yet NDT, inspected, etc.)
- Uses knives and other equipment required in a safe manner, i.e. trim masking while protecting person and parts from injury/damage.
- Exhibits good hand to eye coordination.
- Must be capable of training entry level personnel

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor of Engineering or Science in Engineering, or Chemistry
- Certified Quality Engineer or Certified Quality Auditor through the Society of Quality Engineers preferred
- 5 years minimum in a manufacturing or processing environment
- Calipers, blue prints, micrometers, communications, GD&T
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents written in English such as procedure manuals, work instructions, software manuals, warehouse work orders and inventories. The ability to write legible notes and communicate with coworkers and superiors in English.
Spanish would be a plus.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
Skills: Proficient in Excel, Word, Project, and Power Point required to accomplish day-to-day work activities; excellent oral and written communication skills
Abilities: Read and understand mechanical drawings and specifications
Personal Attributes: Detail oriented, ethical and organized
