Overview

Job Summary

Responsible to direct, coach and mentor Account Executives to ensure sales KPIs are met each month/quarter. Responsible for developing the regional sales strategy and ensuring regional growth targets are met. Ensure sales structure and tactics are utilized for growth while including direction and strategy from the Regional Vice President of Operations.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:

• Direct, coach, mentor and develop the Account Executives
• Direct sales effort of new business opportunities/customers and cultivates new and expanded business opportunities with existing customers within the region
• Direct, prepare and ensure effective implementation of an annual sales business plan. Achieve annual Air Methods KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
• Succession planning, including cross training of Regional Business Development Directors
• Ensure that the spaneting program is operated to the standards and branding objectives established by Air Methods and in alignment with partners in the community.
• Assists in the preparation of an annual capital and operational budget for area sales/spaneting program while ensuring the planning, coordination and execution of events and special programs are managed.
• Work closely with SVP Sales and the Regional Vice President, including timely updates regarding business and demographic changes, including competitive spanet intelligence
• Evaluates compliance with program performance indicators and identifies variances
• Coordinate with Regional Directors to ensure that sales/business development and business partnership objectives are met.
• Responsible for assuring that all business activities are in compliance with designated Air Methods standards.
• Principal contact in contractual negotiations that affect efficient regional operations.
• Maintain key existing customer relationships / partnerships
• Evaluate on a regular basis the risks and benefits of all contractual arrangements with Regional Directors, make changes and modifications for existing and new contract negotiations.
• Regional Air Methods ambassador, establishing relationship with customers and influencers including government officials.
• Other duties as assigned
Additional Job Requirements

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises the Account Executives. Carries out Supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, selecting, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems. For Exempt Managers: Managers that carry out these responsibilities for two or more employees will have significant input in hiring and termination decisions.

Education & Experience

• Bachelors degree from four-year college or university and ten years related experience and/or training within aviation or medical and medical transportation services; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Masters Degree Preferred
• Five (5) years sales and/or business development experience
• Experience in medical transportation services or health care business development/sales preferred
• Demonstrated ability to manage remote sales team

Pay Range
USD $98,000.00 - USD $125,000.00 /Yr.
