Arconic is currently in search of a Sales Automotive Account Manager to join our Rolled Products North America Team based out of Farmington Hills, Michigan.

Position Description
This position is in the Automotive Commercial group within the Arconic Global Rolled Products. The Automotive Commercial group is in an extremely high growth, dynamic and exciting environment. The position reports to the Sales Manager of Automotive Accounts. The position will interact internally with application engineers, inside sales representatives, operations, and spaneting. The customer(s) assigned to this position will be determined based on the overall best alignment within the team of existing account managers along with this position.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop an in-depth understanding of customer’s decision-making process, utilize optimal solicitation strategies, and recommend/implement actions to obtain sales as a result.
- Secure business opportunities at optimal price levels for the Automotive Commercial Group while establishing contractual relationships as appropriate.
- Take the lead in developing and executing an overall Go-to-Market strategy for their assigned customers.
- Direct and accomplish value added selling strategies for each customer. Primary Commercial contact for the development of business with Ford and other customers as assigned.
- Gain in depth insight into their customers business to provide accurate monthly forecasts for expected volume and revenue.
- Establish close relationships and linkages with all levels of their customer’s purchasing, technical, engineering program and management personnel. He/she must be able to influence the outcome of quotations and proposals while collecting useful competitive information.
- Establish close linkages with Arconic manufacturing, quality, field service and technical support teams.
- This position has a direct impact on the volume and profitability for Arconic Global Rolled Products. Incumbent must be capable of recommending to Business Unit management the strategies and tactics required to book targeted share and to achieve acceptance of new material.
- The position requires travel, 25-50 of the time. Some of the travel may be international with the majority being in North America.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- 5 years of related automotive sales experience
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. 730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Authorizations from the relevant government agency may be required to meet export control compliance requirements.
