Job Description:
Tasks
The Sales Director, Japan is responsible for:
- Plan, implement, monitor and assume responsibility for all necessary measures that secure the economic success of all Lufthansa Systems business arrangements in the assigned area
- Develop and execute a sales prospecting plan to target and develop accounts within Japan
- Be involved in strategic sales and account planning to generate new sales and opportunities to meet profitability targets
- Works closely with C-Level and senior leadership team and global stakeholders within the commercial aviation community in Japan to win customers
- Build trusted, strategic relationships with customers, develop a thorough understanding of their airline operation challenges and add value to our customers business by proposing the optimal Lufthansa Systems solution
* Participate in other duties as assigned
Requirements
The ideal Sales Director, Japan should meet the following requirements:
- Relevant degree in the civil aviation field, business administration, computer science or comparable
- Commercial Aviation software experience with solid multimillion dollar (EUR/USD) complex software sales background. Contacts and relationships with Japanese commercial airlines’ C-Level are big plus
- A proven sales or Project/service track record within Far East Asia
- Strong sales / business development and account management skills
- Willing to travel throughout the Asia Pacific Region and Europe
- Entrepreneurial / commercial mind-set
- Fluency in English and Japanese language
- Must possess a legal work permit in Japan
