Your Mission:
- Lead Technical Innovation: Drive engineering excellence across quality, performance, design, and operations, setting a high bar for the organization.
- Collaborate to Deliver: Partner seamlessly with cross-functional teams to bring groundbreaking payment products and features to life.
- Mentor and Elevate: Provide expert code and design reviews, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within and across teams.
- Own Your Craft: Design, architect, and deliver high-quality features and components/products that meet the highest standards of reliability and security.
- Set the Vision: Envision and implement a long-term technology roadmap for your team and the broader organization, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Bridge the Gap: Communicate directly with business stakeholders and payment providers, translating requirements into elegant solutions.
- Be the Expert: Collaborate with external payment providers to integrate new features and resolve technical challenges.
What You Bring:
- Proven Expertise: 6-10 years of experience in designing and developing large-scale distributed systems, with a strong focus on Java.
- Cloud Mastery: 2+ years of hands-on experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS (Amazon Web Services).
- Java Virtuoso: Deep knowledge of the Java language and ecosystem, with a knack for writing clean, maintainable, and unit-tested code.
- Data-Driven: A solid understanding of data-driven development principles and practices.
- Exceptional Communicator: Effective communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills that inspire collaboration and trust.
- Team Player & Self-Starter: Proven ability to excel both independently and as part of a high-performing team.
- Adaptability: Agility to navigate a fast-paced environment with changing requirements and priorities.
Bonus Points:
- Industry Experience: Familiarity with the payment or airline industry is a plus.
- Architecture Pro: Expertise in micro-services and event-driven architectures.
- Documentation Guru: Experience with UML, C4, Confluence/Gliffy, or similar tools.
