Raytheon Field Engineering is currently seeking a Sr. Field Engineer for the SPY-6 Radar Programs. This engineer will work with the onsite engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve hardware related issues, including power, cooling, array, and other radar subsystems. This Field Engineer role is 100 travel, providing SPY-6 Site Support at various Shipyards and Test Sites.
Assignment will rotate between multiple SPY-6 shipyard locations: San Diego, CA, Pascagoula, MS, Newport News, VA, Bath, ME and Marinette, WI. Travel will be a combination of Temporary Domestic Off-site Assignment (TDOA) Assignments and shorter business trips. The role will require extended hours and may require the employee to support off-shift hours.

What You Will Do
- Provide system monitoring, analysis, troubleshooting, and verification to ensure effective operation and performance of equipment.
- Provide quick resolution of system problems/failures that occur during operations and assist with compilation, analysis, test setup and execution of special tests.
- Support integration and test activities to include setup, coordination, and tracking of subsystem statuses and configurations.
What You Will Learn
- Working across mechanical, electrical, software and systems engineering disciplines to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelors Degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology or related technical discipline AND 5+ years of relevant work experience, OR additional 2 years of relevant experience for each one year of college.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Experience with RF Systems, Radar Systems, power systems, troubleshooting, and reading/utilizing hardware schematics.
- Experience in maintaining and providing engineering assessment and corrective actions on faulted equipment, and installation and testing of engineering modifications/updates.
- Experience solving complex technical problems and providing solutions in Radar analysis, integration, and test.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Ability to provide technical leadership and/or supervision in a multidiscipline team environment.
- Experience with systems engineering, integration, and test.
- Electrical training and/or apprenticeship demonstrating expertise in installation, maintenance, and repair of power systems.
- Experience interfacing with internal and external customers and finding technical solutions to complex requirements.
- Experience with root cause identification, corrective action implementation and associated documentation.
- Excellent teaming skills, multi-task, work under stress, support across multiple disciplines, and flexible to travel to support the radar.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
