The Hotel and Travel Team, part of the Crew Planning Team, manages crew travel and hotel requirements from the fourth day of operation until the rosters end. They handle the entire process, including safety reports and timely investigations, demonstrating their commitment to safety. The team collaborates with suppliers, reconciling and approving invoices to ensure compliance and prompt payments.
Guided by the Crew Planning Support Manager, the Senior Hotel and Travel Officer collaborates with the Crew Planning Senior Officer Team to fulfil hotel and transport requirements efficiently and cost-effectively, enhancing operational performance.
Responsibilities include task distribution, meeting deadlines, training new team members, supporting cost-saving initiatives, promoting a strong safety culture, and recommending policy enhancements. They manage crew travel volumes, budget reporting, purchase orders, reconciliations, invoicing, oversee government repatriation movements, and support strategic planning with the Crew Planning Rostering Managers.
What you need to do this role
We are looking for someone with at least 4 years of supply chain experience, preferably in an airline or travel environment, who can lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced setting. A strong team player who can challenge constructively to enhance product quality is essential. A detailed understanding of commercial travel or bulk hotel booking systems is desirable.
You should have a proven track record in building and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships, a strong customer focus, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service. Attention to detail, the ability to understand protocols and agreements, flexibility to travel when needed, and a degree in an aviation-related subject are also important.

Location & Hours of Work
This is a full-time 40 hour per week position. We support hybrid working and we spend three days per week in the office in Luton.
