Job Description SummaryThe Senior Lean Transformation Program Leader position is tied directly to Aerospace’s Hoshin Kanri breakthrough Pull Transformation. This critical position inside the Lean organization is expected to drive continuous improvement by implementing Pull across the Supply Chain enabling strategic breakthrough results in on time delivery and inventory turns performance. This role is primarily a project management focus with a need to manage and integrate multiple transformational action plans aimed at both building the capability for Pull and the vertical execution to hit the business targets to improve. Looking for experience managing complex and interdependent large-scale projects with strong communication and collaboration skills.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
- Manage the breakthrough action planning, keeping all tasks on track and driving proactive countermeasures to sustain TTIs
- Assist in developing the strategic roadmap and playbook across Materials, Sourcing and Part Families to enable scale of the Pull system and achieve breakthrough delivery and inventory turns results
- Work cross-functionally to build a comprehensive and robust action plan / project plan for a complex interdependent supply chain business strategy and communicate risks.
- Build, execute and influence standard work and operating cadences that successfully cascade from Senior Leader Hoshin Kanri down to plant level execution
- Foster a culture of Lean, leading by example
- Ability to define, articulate and measure success in each stage of the project and rally teams around shared success factors
- Flex between a system thinking approach being able to connect all pieces of the organization and a micro approach of knowing the next milestones for each plant
- Ask thought provoking questions and challenge the status quo with humility to drive execution and accountability
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Business Administration from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management
- 25-50 travel requirement if remote and do not reside near headquarters in Evendale, Ohio
Desired Characteristics and Experience
- At least 10 years of experience in leading supply chain, engineering or product management teams driving lean culture and operational transformation is desired.

- Experience driving enterprise-wide transformation preferably in a major turn-around. The ideal candidate has been through complex change and tough situations; bringing a will to win with strong followership
- Lean practitioner, capable of facilitating kaizen events and coaching the core tools such as Daily Visual Management, structured Problem Solving, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Transactional Process Improvement and Kanban
- Proven to be effective driving outcomes in large, matrixed organizations – understands how to navigate geographies, cultures, relationships, etc. Can drive work around the world because they are accountable, trustworthy, credible, committed, and intellectually agile.
- Change agent, able to make the case for lean and demonstrate immediate impact.
- Highly collaborative person, comfortable with conflict and debate normally associated with change.
- Ability to solicit interest and champion unique approaches / original solutions and formulate those ideas into transactional strategy
- Ability to present ideas effectively and concisely, both written and verbal, to all levels of the organization both internally and externally.
- Strategic and critical thinker with the ability to influence others without authority, even those with conflicting priorities balancing thought leadership / and read across with strong results-orientation
- Proven ability to work horizontally across GE and build / maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Skilled communicator capable of influencing a wide audience via a balanced and humble approach
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of materials management practices using lean tools and methodology.
