Position Summary
The Sr Maintenance Manager reports to the Director of Maintenance and directs all maintenance activities for assigned aircraft and departmental personnel tasked to those aircraft. Assigned aircraft are associated with multiple accounts/clients.
Minimum Requirements
- Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic (A&P) Certificate mandatory
- 5-7 yearsââ¬â¢ experience in aviation maintenance
- Must be familiar with CFR 14 Parts 21, 43, 91 and 135 maintenance requirements
- Must be able to obtain an airport ID badge
- At least 5 years of experience using MS Office, including but not limited to, WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT, and OUTLOOK.
- Working knowledge of all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Main Responsibilities
- Leads or coordinates project planning, resourcing, staffing, progress reporting, people management, and troubleshooting for aircraft maintenance projects
- Ensures project results meet requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, schedule and cost
- Provides technical support to industry engineers and scientists on a variety of technical tasks
- Develops and recommends procedures and methods, and prepares technical reports and documentation
- Performs technical evaluations of assigned aircraft maintenance events to determine root cause; recommends and manages corrective action including the resulting documentation
- Communicates with specific owner personnel as directed aircraft flight crewmembers and company schedulers and dispatchers regarding aircraft maintenance schedules and budgets including accurate expectations for approvals for return to service
- Responsible for the acceptance, rejection, and disposition of all work accomplished on assigned company aircraft, engine components, propellers or accessories, by Jet Aviation Maintenance and/or authorized vendors
- Other duties may be assigned, as needed
- Represents Jet Aviation as one company internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies and the General Dynamics network

Work Environment

The employee must be able to work in both a heavy maintenance environment and in upscale customer areas. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with occasional high volume when aircrafts arrive/depart. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. Occasional fuel fumes may permeate the workplace. Employee must be willing and able to work in all types of weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The Hangar environment may be extreme hot and cold during certain seasons of the year.
