Job Title: Panel Integration TechnicianJob Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Panel Integration Technician to join our dynamic team of experts. Your role will involve fabricating, inspecting, and testing Ground Safety Equipment assemblies & panels/racks integral to our various spaceflight systems. This position will start in a shop environment on the Space Coast or Western Florida and transition into the field at Kennedy Space Center.
Responsibilities
- Perform installation of avionic components and systems, ensuring operational reliability and adherence to design specifications.
- Read instructions such as work orders, diagrams, and wire lists to determine materials needed and the sequence of assembly.
- Mount and install components, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs), relays, contactors, switches, and terminal blocks in panel enclosures.
- Assemble cables, buses, and electromechanical systems.
- Measure, cut, solder, and/or crimp wires and contacts to fabricate wiring and detailed installations, including intricate cable harness configurations.
- Inspect, test, and verify avionics assemblies against technical models, drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Troubleshoot panel system issues, carrying out necessary modifications, rework, repairs, or maintenance to resolve malfunctions.
- Ensure the optimal function of GSE systems by conducting thorough inspections, cleanings, measurements, and testing activities.
Essential Skills- High school diploma or GED.
- Three (3+) years experience as an electrical/cable fabrication technician or other relevant industry experience.
- Previous experience working with panel wiring and mechanical installations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite/365 including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Experience with avionics/panel manufacturing and operation of related test equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as IPC/WHMA-A-620, MIL-DTL-, NASA-STD-8739, J-STD-001, and ANSI/ESD S20.20.
- Proficient in using measurement tools and understanding basic math concepts.

Work Environment
Roles will start in a shop environment on the Space Coast or Western Florida and transition into the field at Kennedy Space Center. This role requires extensive walking in and around a shop and construction site, climbing ladders and scaffolding, walking on elevated platforms, walking on uneven surfaces, climbing in small and confined spaces, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00
