Job Summary:
Directs and coordinates activities of the assigned manufacturing areas. Oversees and ensures quality and safety of the manufacturing area and its personnel. This includes leading Production Supervisors in assigned shift area(s). Responsible for the health of assigned direct labor force including training, retention, hiring and supporting their needs. Executes the production design as set by Cirrus Process Engineering. Provides metrics and visibility into operations through planning and administering budgets and procedures.
1st Shift: 6am-4:30pm - Monday-Thursday

Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
- Communicates company vision and organizational goals and objectives to assigned manufacturing area(s) in a clear, concise and timely manner.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of activities in assigned manufacturing area(s).
- Ensures all safety standards/ policies are met. Conducts regular observations for safety compliance and corrects unsafe acts and conditions.
- Monitors employee performance, regularly provide employee feedback, empower, mentor and coach employees, deliver performance reviews, and assist employees in setting goals.
- Responsible for assessing department training needs, overseeing department training program and driving training initiatives.
- Leads 6S throughout the assigned area – set and hold the team accountable to area standards.
- Participate in the layered process audit program ensuring that all quality and cirrus process and procedure are met. Drive RCCA in areas where non conformances are identified and ensure timely completion of open mitigations.
- Coordinates and provides input to engineering staff and participates in new product launches.
- Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.
- Maintains operations data, such as time, production, and cost records. Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
- Sets a standard of teamwork in assigned area; coaches and guides employees, set plans for improvement, increase production, overcome obstacles, and achieve on time delivery with zero defects to internal customers. Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.
- Requisitions materials, supplies, equipment parts, or repair services.
- Leads KPIs (Safety, Quality, People, Delivery, and Cost) improvement through continuous improvement and lean initiatives. Continually strives for process improvement, cost reduction, and labor hour reduction in assigned areas. Identifies change initiatives and engages employees in positively implementing and communicating change.
- Works to reduce scrap and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and works to stay within the guidelines for overtime while supporting personnel management and monitoring absenteeism.

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelors degree in mechanical, Manufacturing or Aerospace Engineering, Business Administration, or related field with 8 years of related experience with minimum 3-5 years of leadership experience or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of Cirrus Designs manufacturing processes preferred.
Demonstrated Proficiencies/Skills/Abilities:
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to read, write and speak the English language. Additionally, the following skills are desired:

- Provide leadership in Lean Manufacturing Principles and practices throughout assigned manufacturing areas. Ensures that manufacturing areas are kept clean, orderly, and presentable at all times.
- Ensures compliance with the 6S principle (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety). Ensures compliance with all paperwork, such as work instructions, that govern job duties.
- Attention to detail is required and must be able to lead assembly teams and supervisors in assigned shift areas.
- May be assigned to oversee different manufacturing locations as production needs require.
