As Senior Sales Manager you will be responsible to drive Pratt & Whitney (P&W) accounts (America and Canada). This role is also including the Honeywell account (APU contract).
You will have some autonomy to drive internal approvals and enter into commercial arrangements among the variety and complexity of the contracts of its account. High levels of Commercial judgement are needed to achieve the required outcomes. In this role you will report to the Sales & Commercial Operations Director for OEM Programs.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Define and control sales and commercial objectives for the customers in his/her portfolio
Promote cross-functional collaboration to address customer needs and secure GE Avio business objectives. Anticipate risks and opportunities, define and implement corrective actions and manage operating rhythm reporting
Contribute towards the strategy development and position for business growth in identifying and developing new business opportunities with P&W and Honeywell, building positive and trustful relationship with them and develop new business perspectives and value propositions
Provide support as and when needed in close collaboration cross-functionally with other stakeholders. He/she shall be recognized as the referent for sales & commercial activities of his/her portfolio, both internally and externally
Raise the bar of expectations for him/her and others constructively and spread the voice of the customers within the organization
Assess quality of provided information and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders and customers. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision
Propose, foster and sponsor continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or in Business Administration or High School Diploma with proven and solid experience in relevant role
Proven experience in the aerospace industry, ideally in sales and commercial functions
Previous experience in sales, commercial, procurement, and/or program role(s) in an international environment is considered a plus
High commercial judgement, business acumen and knowledge of business best practices and differentiation factors versus competition
Good autonomy, ownership and decision making with the ability to adjust priorities in a moving environment
Comprehensive knowledge of proposal development and management, financial & business concepts, negotiation best practices, processes and procedures
Fluent both English and Italian
Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
