Job Title: Sheet Metal Technician Lead
Job DescriptionThis role is responsible for developing all products in support of operations and approving all documents for new development and production hardware requiring sheet metal fabrication, forming, and deburring. Additionally, Technical Leaders will perform tasks with cross-functional teams to drive quality, continuous improvement, on-time delivery, and comprehensive operator training and development.
Responsibilities
- Install hardware such as bolts, nuts, screws, rivets, nut plates, and other hardware as instructed by customer specifications, engineering drawings, or work orders.
- Remove burrs and polish all types of materials used.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment and contribute to the 6S program and Lean concepts.
- Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions.
- Perform all tasks in a safe and reasonable manner according to the Employee Handbook.
- Set up machines to form and cut material using press brakes, presses, and shears in accordance with operation process sheets or drawings.
Essential Skills- Sheet metal fabrication and assembly experience.
- Knowledge and experience with sheet metal forming, riveting, and swedging.
- Knowledge and experience with sheet metal bend allowances.
- Experience with sheet metal brake presses.
- Blueprint reading and interpretation knowledge and experience.
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience with brake press machines, shear/brake press, and grinders.
- Troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Proficiency with hand tools.
- Experience in sheet metal repair.

Work Environment
Climate-controlled facility with 1st and 2nd shift positions available, accommodating about 150 total employees. The schedule for the 1st shift is 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Palm Bay, Florida.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00
