Kachemak Bay Flying Service (KBFS), a wholly owned subsidiary of System Studies & Simulation, Inc. (S3) is seeking a Site Manager for its Contractor Owned, Contractor Operated business activities in Temple, TX.
Military experience is a plus. This is not a teleworking position.
The KBFS Site Manager in Temple, TX, reports directly to the General Manager of KBFS and is responsible for managing the daily operations of Kachemak Bay Flying Service's commercial aviation operations under FAR Parts 133, 135, 137, 141, and 145, supervising up to 25 personnel, and overseeing simultaneous operations in two facilities at Temple Draughon-Miller Airport. Provides strategic business development for KBFS Temple and identifies new business opportunities and strategies to grow and improve KBFS business operations. Manages daily flight operations and provides scheduling, mission planning, pre-, and post-flight briefings as required. Meet flight training and utility flight operations, as well as avionics repair and general aviation maintenance support objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Manages fixed and rotary wing aircraft on-site, coordinating with the KBFS Maintenance Manager to ensure aircraft readiness and conformity to FAA Part 145 requirements and with the various FAA Certificate Principals to ensure compliant scheduling, transport, pilot training, and utility flight operations.
- Has primary oversight of selected KBFS-Temple employees who perform FAA-designated functions (e.g., Chief Flight Instructor for the Part 141 Training Academy; Director of Operations for Part 135 Transport, and Chief Pilot for Part 133 Lift Operations).
- Relies on the KBFS Maintenance Manager to independently provide and manage General Aviation and Avionics Repair operations to commercial customers and the KBFS Temple Rotary and Fixed Wing Aircraft Fleets.
- Responsible for interfacing with the FAA, Veterans Administration, Chamber of Commerce, and other agencies as required.
- Provides weekly business updates to the General Manager, including project management goals and execution, personnel management, and financial performance information.
- Applies specialized education, knowledge, and experience in the following areas; aviation, program management, program control, administration, financial management, maintenance, logistics, customer service, training, and operations.
- Manages and coordinates employees' efforts in support of the customer and ensures his operations accomplish contractual obligations on time and to standard.
- Accomplishing mandatory reports as required.
- Responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring all schedules to ensure timely delivery of services.
- Responsible for accountability and condition of all aircraft, equipment, tools, supplies, and other assets assigned to his/her organization.
- Responsible for supervising the technical direction, professional development, training, and the overall performance of staff members.
