Purpose
The Snr Supervisor Manufacturing/Operations plays a key role in our operations team managing a medium sized team of primarily team leads and production/manufacturing staff in a busy Aerospace interiors manufacturing business. It is an amazing opportunity for a candidate who has a hunger for success and continuous improvement to take their career to new heights.
In this role, the Snr Supervisor is responsible for overall performance of a small batch high mix manufacturing capability responsible for the manufacture of a wide range of aircraft interior parts via our CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, paint and assembly cells. Day to day management will focus on achieving operations performance targets for safety, people, quality, delivery and cost while ensuring talent development and improving the employee workplace experience.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversees production operations (shop floor management, workforce management, and flow disruption management).
- Manages and supervises the work of manufacturing production disciplines in the Operations function.
- Performs professional or management work regularly across multiple Manufacturing disciplines.
- Drives positive employee workplace experience
- Ensures all quality related items are complete and documented to meet established quality standards.
- Monitors manufacturing production performance to business KPI’s for Safety, People, Quality, Delivery and cost.
- Drives a Continuous improvement culture across the operations workforce focusing on process improvement to ensure efficiency of operations is meeting company targets.
- Supports scheduling initiatives so that production schedules are completed in line with customer demand
- Supports warehouse and distribution management in coordinating activities for materials and logistics problem resolution to ensure materials availability is in line with production schedules
- Ensuring strict adherence to all Health & Safety, Ethics, Compliance, and Quality protocols
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Lean Six Sigma
- Must be able to demonstrate a career within a manufacturing environment
- Prior Management / Operations experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment is essential
- The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate how they have developed their team to improve their skills, grow careers and future talent.
- Strong people leadership skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skillset
- Strong critical-thinking skills and the ability to apply quantitative and qualitative thinking to problems.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.

• This role is resident on site role
• Hours of Work - Standard Staff Hours – 39 hours per week (flexible hours)
