Job Description SummaryThe Senior Marketing Manager of Competitive Intelligence is responsible for delivering insightful, actionable, and timely market and competitive intelligence to support growth initiatives and enable execution of business strategies. This individual will:
-Develop a deep understanding of the competition and closely monitor and report on all major competitive activities;
-Develop standard work to Identify competitive insights and establish recommendations for business strategies;Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesEstablish and lead an effective global competitive intelligence process to include capturing, assessing, and disseminating competitive intelligence/insights.
- Manage and enhance the Competitive Information Management System (CIMS). Promote usage of the tool and develop KPIs to monitor engagement.
- Develop a broad network of external sources to capture competitive information. Develop a strategy to improve areas of Competitive Intelligence that are currently not captured.
- Partner with cross functional teams (Engineering, Future of Flight, Investor Relations, etc) to share and interpret competitive information across the business.
- Anticipate and closely monitor competitive strategies and actions
- Develop standard work to disseminate insights in a timely manner.
- Prepare in depth analysis of competitors’ strategies, strengths/weaknesses, tactics, trends, investments, pipeline and future activities
- Partner with Legal to create competitive information training
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Finance, Business Administration or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of Aviation, Aerospace, Finance or Business Intelligence specific expertise.
Desired Characteristics:
- Masters degree in, Marketing, Finance, Engineering or Business Administration (MBA)
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) with ability to simplify complex concepts
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization, including GMs
- Experience utilizing LEAN tools and practices to deliver results.
- Excellent business acumen and strategic thinking to assess and identify implications of market trends, aviation industry trends, market insights, competitive business activities across business functions
- Experience analyzing and synthesizing qualitative and quantitative information, identifying implications and observing patterns, making correct inferences, drawing conclusions, explaining facts, data, or information to evaluate competitive activity, strategic direction, and core competencies utilizing a wide variety of resources
Note on location: The preferred location for this position is Cincinnati, Ohio. The hiring team may consider candidates based in the Eastern or Central Time zones if the candidate has demonstrated the ability to work effectively in a remote or hybrid arrangement.
