Youll work closely with and report to Program Managers & Senior Program Managers responsible for a portfolio of material handling projects ranging in size and complexity. This position is responsible for successfully managing all aspects of cost, schedule, and performance for their assigned programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Traveling 25 to customer distribution facilities throughout the US.
- Serve as primary customer contact for program activities to support and lead program execution, lead program reviews and report on cost, schedule, and technical performance.
- Responsible for understanding and interpreting customer requirements to work in partnership with customers towards derived solutions and leveraging existing solutions.
- Ability to facilitate and lead/transition projects through all phases of the project life cycle.
- Participate in the preparation and evaluation of proposals, bid/no-bid decisions, business plans, Statements of Work (SOW), specifications, budgets and financial terms/conditions of contracts.
- Participates in negotiations of contracts and contracts change management.
- Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules.
- Identifies program problems and risks and obtains solutions such as resource allocation and contract specification changes.
- Manage and evaluate financial and technical trade-off analyses required for scope changes in a program.
- Responsible for the direction, oversight, and outcome of all assigned programs.
YOU MUST HAVE
- 4+ years of project management or engineering experience
- Ability to travel up throughout the US, up to 25.
- Associates degree.
- Effective Project Management and execution skills.
- Experience working in a matrixed project organization.
WE VALUE
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or other related discipline.
- PMP certification.
- Onsite construction experience
- Supply chain management experience.
- Material Handling industry automation or adjacent industry automation experience.
- Expertise with Microsoft Office including Excel, Access and SharePoint.
- Knowledge of IT and financial systems preferred (Sales Force, SAP, etc.).
- Strong written and oral communication skills, particularly in cross-functional collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation
- Ability to work on multiple projects and effectively manage priorities
