Essential Responsibilities: In this role you will:
- Maintain and monitor hosting and associated computing environments like software for systems, equipment, and configurations.
- Conduct troubleshooting, diagnosing, and solving hardware, software, and other issues affecting the hosting environment and associated infrastructure.
- Support implementation of disaster recovery environments with the team, determine DR procedures, and testing processes.
- A focus on performance and functionality that delivers competitive edge and value to customers.
- Manage Compute, storage, and virtualization tools within Aerospace hosting ecosystem.
- Own IT infrastructure monitoring for on-prem hosting to ensure SLA uptime, analyze issues and problems across hosting infrastructure, providing technical solutions, and resolving issues affecting the operation and performance of the infrastructure.
- Assist with identification, implementation, & operation of the infrastructure tools and services.
- Stay up to date with technology industry changes performing technical reviews of new technologies and upgrades to assist in keeping the organizations infrastructure up to date and optimized to provide the best support for the customer.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance documentation of the hosting infrastructure including design documents, operations documents, troubleshooting guides and training materials.
- Analyze customer or vendor solutions for security and standard compliance
- Technical leadership to influence suppliers on designs that align to our standards.
- Continually ensure value for money - choose optimal technology solutions that align strategically & commercially for global infrastructure.
- Define, own, and deliver a strategic roadmap for hosting infrastructure tools.
- Demonstrate “Cloud First” thinking for hosting.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 4 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 7 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 9 years of professional experience
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Infrastructure.
- Experience working in an ITIL environment
- ITIL3 and/or ITIL4 foundation
- Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience
