The Global Delivery Strategy and Management (GDSM) Manager is part of the IT Transformation team and plays a vital role in executing strategic programs in support of Delta’s Digital and IT Transformation. The individual will focus on the building and execution of Global Delivery Partner (GDP) governance designed to drive service delivery quality, operational improvements and application of GDP capability to accelerate Delta’s Digital and IT transformation strategy to create a sustainable competitive advantage for Delta Air Lines.
Key Responsibilities as Global Delivery Partner (GDP) Management:
Work with domain leaders to develop an in-depth understanding of the domain priorities in support of Delta’s Digital and IT Transformation strategy. In collaboration with GDSM team and other supporting teams such as Vendor Management, Supply Chain Management, Finance & Delta IT CCOEs, work with the GDPs to ensure efficient global delivery in support domain priorities across new and existing engagements, managing resource demand, and as well as future transformation objectives.
Other Key Responsibilities include:
- Deal Structuring - Engagement Models, Operating Models, Pricing, Governance, RFP, SOW / MSA’s
- Manage key program objectives & delivery risks
- Utilize data driven metrics to support ongoing governance and process improvement initiatives
- Elevate the engagement level maturity with global delivery partners
- Conduct and review performance benchspaning
- Governance; Risk Management & Analytics on Agile product delivery
- Coach Global Delivery Partners in applying Industry best practices on project / program delivery, including leverage of their Innovation & Delivery Centers of Excellence
- Lead cost and delivery optimization opportunities across IT services and consulting companies
- Identify areas of improvement and partner with stakeholders to drive scalable, global solutions
- Compile periodic and ad-hoc vendor business summaries that reflect the overall state of the GDP relationship
- Continuously improve total business value and strategic alignment of global delivery program

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
A minimum of 2 years of experience with a large technology/business consulting organization or a large global company.
Experience with IT projects in areas like global delivery, strategic partner management, IT strategy development and IT financial planning.
Experience with vendor management, vendor transitions, Statement of Work (SOW) development, contracting & pricing models.
Knowledge of large IT services companies.
Hands-on experience in managing large & complex engagements
Solutions development attitude and consulting mindset in all aspects of engagement
Knowledge of SDLC using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
An understanding of infrastructure, infosec and DevSecOps.
Ability to develop and represent breakthrough business cases & proposals for change / improvements to program – including reviews with senior IT stakeholders
- Strong personal-leadership and negotiation skills, we want you to develop and nurture relationships quickly despite obstacles
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
- 8 years of experience highly preferred
- Demonstrated experience developing relationships at all levels of an organization.
- Experience working with diverse teams located across various countries.
- Hands on expertise in converting the insights into business cases & proposals.
- Highly adaptable, a driver of change, and capable of quickly rallying teams / peer groups.
- MBA preferred.
