Job Description SummaryThis role is a part of the Separation Management Office supporting the transition from GE Corporate to GE Aerospace. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing the user experience design process. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that products, services, or digital experiences are intuitive, user-friendly, and meet the needs and expectations of GE Aerospace employees. Key activities include User research, Information architecture, Interaction design, visual design, usability evaluation, and collaboration.
The User Experience Lead will work in partnership with the Change Management and Enablement team to deliver on relevant and timely change management programs/projects. You will be required to demonstrate and apply knowledge of change management best practices, methodologies, and industry best standards.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
- Collaborating closely with stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure that the user experience design aligns with business goals and technical constraints. Effective communication and presentation skills are essential to articulate design decisions and advocate for the user’s perspective.
- Conducting or overseeing user research activities, such as user interviews, usability testing, and competitive analysis to gather insights about user needs, behaviors, and preferences.
- Analyze and interpret research findings to provide actionable recommendations that can improve our product’s usability and functionality.
- Defining the structure and organization of information within a product or service, including navigation schemes, categorization, and labelling systems.
- Creating or guiding the creation of wireframes, prototypes, and interaction patterns that outline the behavior and flow of a digital product or service.
- Conducting usability evaluations and heuristic reviews to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of a products user interface and proposing improvements based on the findings.
Qualifications/ Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in human-computer interaction, computer science or a related field
- Minimum of three years experience working in UX research and change management.
- Strong grasp of different research methodologies, including questionnaires, user interviews, and usability testing.
- Robust knowledge and expertise in information architecture, prototyping, and wireframing
- Prior experience working with survey tools.
- Adobe Suites experience
- Must be willing to travel up to 30

- Strong consultative skills to inform plans within the boundaries of time and resources
- Eye for detail, confidence to challenge and ask questions.
- Proven experience in implementing enterprise-wide HR change management initiatives that has led to user adoption.
- Detail orientated with good analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Can-do attitude with a strong sense of accountability as well as interdependence.
- Ability to work under broad or limited supervision.
- Logical, structured and process-orientated thinking.
- Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills; quick adaptability to systems, tools, and processes.
Pay and Benefits:
- The base pay range for this position is $81,200 - 135,300 . The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary. This posting is expected to close on April 9th, 2024.
