Job Summary
The VP Pricing, Business Group - Critical Missions is responsible for the overall success of pricing strategies to grow the business, maintain customer satisfaction, ensure program profitability, and win re-competes for the Critical Missions business group supporting the Sustainment & Analytics, Aviation Solutions, Range & Aerial Operations, Logistics & Supply Chain, Space & Critical Infrastructure and Diplomacy & International Development business lines.
This is a hybrid remote position, with location near the Chantilly, VA headquarters preferred.
Principal Accountabilities
- Manage and assume responsibility for all federal services pricing activities for assigned business group.
- Oversees cost proposal development and pricing strategies for major and strategic proposals.
- Develops and executes business and proposal development objectives within established budgets to reach determined goals.
- Directs and manages a team of pricing analysts to achieve company strategic and tactical new business objectives.
- Leads and conducts pricing strategy meetings.
- Interface and maintains strong working relationships with Operations, Business Development, and Functional support groups to obtain/develop data necessary for developing prices or other components of complex cost/price proposals.
- Ensures compliance with the Company’s estimating system as well as other policies and procedures.
- Oversees or conducts quality assurance reviews to ensure that cost/price proposal components are accurate and responsive to solicitation requirements.
Knowledge & Skills
- Excellent communication, effective leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Extensive working knowledge of all facets of Business Development / Pricing.
- Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
- Broad based Pricing, Estimating and Planning skills.
- Strong background in commercial programs and contracts.
- Extensive knowledge of Supply Chain Management.
- Working knowledge of Department of Defense, Department of State, United States government structure and agency procedures and policies for identifying and developing potential business opportunities.
Experience & Education
- Fifteen (15) years in Proposal Pricing, Finance or related technical environment or Twelve (12) years’ experience with an advanced degree. Five (5) years’ experience in a senior/lead pricing role where personnel were managed.
- Bachelors degree in an associated discipline. Two (2) years’ experience in related field can be substituted for each year of the four (4) years of college. Master’s degree is preferred.
- Government services experience with DoD, DoS, NASA, USAID, foreign governments, and commercial customers, preferred.
- Advanced experience performing or overseeing development of Bases of Estimate (BOEs) preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills required.
- Position requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance.
Working Environment
Must be able to work extended hours, often with short notice, to meet deadlines. Extended hours may include late nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays.
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities to produce a large volume of high-quality material with attention to detail.
Travel
Domestic travel to proposal sites required, 10-20.
