The Purpose of this position is to ensure PAL Aerospace has a robust and performing supply chain that satisfies daily operational and financial requirements for the airline and aerospace fleet and to foster and secure new vendor relationships for capital programs that enable PAL to compete and win new campaigns in the global intelligence, search and rescue market. 

Duties and Responsibilities:  

Reporting to the Vice-President, Supply Chain & Logistics, the successful candidate will:

  • Steer the vendor management strategy by building vendor relationships, analyzing spend data, reviewing market trends and making recommendations for vendor efficiency, vendor re-sourcing, or internal company improvements.
  • Support PAL Aerospace programs and projects by sourcing vendors, parts, and services to satisfy operational objectives on major capital programs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, acting as the primary point of contact for vendor related inquiries, escalation and issue resolution.
  • Review, negotiate and administer vendor contracts ensuring they align with organizational requirements and compliance standards.
  • Monitor contract renewal dates and initiate contract negotiations when necessary.
  • Establish performance metrics and conduct regular assessment of vendor performance against agreed-upon service level agreements and key performance indicators and provide feedback to improve vendor performance.
  • Ensure vendor compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Conduct risk assessments of vendor activities and implement appropriate risk mitigation measures.
  • Coordinate the onboarding process for new vendors, including due diligence, contract negotiations and setting up vendor accounts.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date vendor records, including company information, contact information, contract details, pricing, lead-time, performance data and related documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline vendor management processes and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Other related duties as assigned. 

Qualifications:  

Security Responsibilities: 

Incumbent must be eligible for Government Personnel Security Clearance.
