Airbus Defence and Space is looking for an experienced and innovative Product Manager for the Workspace product within the Digital Workplace Product Service Line (PSL). This role involves full end-to-end lifecycle management, overseeing strategic direction, financial performance, and operational success. The Product Manager will identify opportunities for growth, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure the product meets business needs, user expectations, and market trends.
This position will be hired either in Ottobrunn, Stevenage, Toulouse or Getafe.

Your main activities will be, as product manager:
End-to-End Product Strategy: You will be accountable for the end-to-end Product Strategy in close collaboration with the DWP architects. You will define and execute the product life cycle aligning with business needs, market trends, and company goals. You’ll define the roadmap, prioritize features, and ensure continuous evolution and improvement.
Cross divisional approach: You will represent Defence and Space for the workspace product in front of other Airbus divisions for harmonizing strategies while addressing needs of Airbus Defence and Space.
Multi-Functional Team Leadership: You will lead a Product Multifunctional team (MFT) to manage the Workspace Product lifecycle, both developing the products and operating them to meet operational SLA&39;s. The MFT may vary depending on the activity but will typically include the Product Designers and the Product Delivery Managers (PDM) to ensure consistency while addressing country-specific needs.
User-Centric Design & Experience: You will leverage user feedback, metrics and analytics, to continuously improve the product experience, prioritizing enhancements and working closely with engineers to ensure technical feasibility and optimal user performance.
Stakeholder management: You will be the focal point for your business to manage their change requests and demands. You will work in close collaboration with the product delivery management team to ensure service delivery and product improvements.
Security & Compliance: Ensure the product complies with security and regulatory requirements, with inputs from architects and IT specialists to integrate necessary controls.
Financial & Budget Management: You will own the product budget, including CAPEX, OPEX, and licensing, while defining and managing chargeback models; Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to ensure cost-effective decisions and vendor management.
Project management: You will manage and coordinate activities and projects related to Workspace products, to ensure deliveries in time, budget and quality.
Service Operations & Continuous Improvement: You will work closely with PDMs to meet SLAs, drive product enhancements, and ensure service quality. Regularly engage with build engineers to implement technical updates or patches.
Dimensions:The job-holder will be part of the Digital Workplace PSL team located internationally in Airbus Defence and Space four core countries.
The product manager coordinates:
A MFT of 5 Product Delivery Managers, geographically distributed in the core countries.
Workspace related projects, enhancements and product evolutions.
Different stakeholders from both technical and non-technical backgrounds, including Digital Workplace Architects, Facility Management teams, business representatives, Sites coordinators and external vendors and subcontractors.
The product managed contains the following ecosystem:
Meeting rooms and Video Conferencing rooms management from public to restricted ones (around 700 in total) with different equipment like beamers, video conferencing systems, screens, audio systems depending on standard strategies. All distributed in four counties.
Auditoriums and studios for specific conferencing/audio visual business needs at Top management level
Workspace ecosystem: Multiple platforms management (web, mobile, kiosk, tablets) and proper integration with existing systems Google Calendar, Meet, and other corporate applications.
The product manager is accountable for a multi-million euro budget, balancing cost efficiency with service excellence across a complex portfolio of systems and subproducts.
The Workspace product directly impacts the daily working experience of tens of thousands of employees across different countries. Ensuring consistency of service, while adapting to local requirements, adds a significant level of complexity.
Desired skills and qualificationsMaster level (or equivalent) in information technology or bring a comparable qualification combined with several years of work experience as a project manager, product manager and/ or in service management.
An understanding of Networking and Infrastructure, specially related to collaboration tools
An experience managing cross functional teams without direct reporting lines.
High stakeholder management and communication skills, with a solid background in process and project management.
Strategic thinker with the ability to define long-term product strategy, align it with business goals, and drive innovation.
Collaborative and Innovation Mindset: Proven ability to collaborate across teams, countries, and functions, with a focus on breaking down silos and fostering a user-centric, &34;can-do&34; mindset.
Cross-functional collaboration: Proven ability to work across teams, countries, and functions to deliver on product goals.
Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of product cost management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization.
Customer Focus: A strong advocate for end users, ensuring that the product meets user needs and drives engagement.
English language up to professional level is mandatory. French, Spanish or German will be a plus.
