This is an exciting new opportunity within the Global Security Services (GSS) Cybersecurity organization supporting the Enterprise Wide Area Network (eWAN). The eWAN provides centralized delivery of advanced digital technology (DT) and security services to multiple classified program efforts across the enterprise. The eWAN transforms the delivery model of classified information processing and provides critical collaboration, compute and communication resources to key business initiatives.
The eWAN Cybersecurity Technical Lead oversees and supports the daily operation of all elements of eWAN’s cybersecurity technical capabilities. Focus areas include environment monitoring, auditing, incident response, vulnerability management, infrastructure support, and configuration assessment.
The Cybersecurity Technical Lead has a thorough understanding of eWAN technical security control implementation, daily operating procedures, and the originating compliance requirements.
This individual leads the cross-functional “Security Services” team of Digital Technology (DT) and Global Security Services (GSS) personnel responsible for executing the eWAN cybersecurity program and developing new security capabilities offered to eWAN tenant programs. This person supervises eWAN Information System Security Officers (ISSOs) within Security Services team.
The role requires a unique blend of technical knowledge and leadership skills; the eWAN is a transformative business initiative which relies on energized change leadership and clear communication. The ideal candidate has experience as an Information System Security Manager (ISSM) or Sr. Information System Security Officer (ISSO), with a strong understanding of Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) compliance requirements.
This position has a primary onsite work location of Tewksbury, MA with the ability to travel occasionally between other Raytheon locations as necessary to support the mission. This individual will report to a Raytheon Cybersecurity Sr. Operations Manager.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems Management, Information Technology, Criminal Justice, Business, Math, or other STEM degree with 8 years of experience or an advanced degree with 5 years of relevant experience.
DoD 8140 (job code 722) Intermediate (8570.01-M IAM Level III) certified: CISSP/CISM/GSLC or other applicable certification. If not currently certified, incumbent must receive certification within six months of hire
Active and transferable U.S. government issued SECRET security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience with vulnerability management, security incident and event management (SIEM), and network security tools, best practices, and processes. Specific experience with Tenable, Splunk, Forcepoint and Ivanti platforms preferred. Working knowledge of cloud security principles valued.
Knowledge of cybersecurity hardening practices for major technical platforms (Windows, Linux, network hardware, hypervisors, etc.). Specific experience interpreting, implementing, and assessing Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) is preferred.
Experience with large multi-facility networks including diverse and complex components.
Understanding of the DCSA Assessment and Authorization Process Manual (DAAPM), the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Risk Management Framework (RMF), and associated requirements.
Excellent time management and organization skills. Ability to work under pressure to meet project deadlines and multitask to support a rapidly changing environment.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
