Purpose of Position
Assembles electronic components, assemble modules, subassemblies, harnesses, panels, power supplies and cables.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Basic understanding of electrical components, circuits and systems.
- Ability to read and interpret simple electrical diagreams, schematics and assembly instructions.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, soldering equipment and basic assembly tools.
- Pull, measure and cut cable to length on cable and harness.
- Connects component lead wires and between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points.
- Visually inspect internal and external components.
- Ability to perform basic electical testing and identify defects.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise assembly work.
- Comfortable working with small components and wiring.
