Job Title: Assembler
Job DescriptionWe are seeking an Entry Level Technician responsible for performing skilled tasks in the service, maintenance, and repair of airplane wheels, braking systems, and airplane landing gear. This includes handling various duties related to the maintenance and repair of these components.
Responsibilities
- Deflate tires.
- Break torque and bead of tires.
- Remove bearings and related hardware including bolts, washers, and nuts.
- Clean hardware and wheels in an aqueous or solvent-based machine.
- Occasionally remove paint with a dry system such as bead blast.
- Operate heavy-duty hydraulic jacks and other equipment to perform wheel maintenance functions.
- Assist other departments when necessary.
- Disassemble gear and components.
- Deflate gear.
- Remove bushings and related hardware including bolts, washers, and nuts.
- Clean hardware and all parts of the gear in an aqueous or solvent-based machine.
- Occasionally remove paint with a dry system such as bead blast.
- Operate heavy-duty hydraulic jacks and other equipment to perform landing gear maintenance functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Essential Skills- Mechanically inclined
- Experience in assembly, hand tool usage, production, troubleshooting, and repair
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Preferred experience in an aerospace environment
- No tools required
- Safety glasses and safety shoes (composite or steel toed) required
- Compliance with FAA Drug Test and Background Check

Work Environment
This is a fully on-site position located in Phoenix, Arizona. The work environment includes the use of swamp coolers and fans in an indoor setting. The shift is Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm, with overtime as required and approved. Reasonable accommodations can be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Physical demands include standing, walking, using hands, reaching with hands and arms, occasional sitting, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, Arizona.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
