OnsiteThis position at Raytheon is a multifaceted security position as the Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO), who will assist with implementing all aspects of 32 CFR Part 117, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) Rule.
This temporary position will be a direct report to the Facility Security Officer at our Woburn, MA location and provide leadership and support to one small off-site business development facility as well as one small off-site cleared manufacturing facility.
What You Will Do
- Investigating security incidents and preparing comprehensive reports for matters including infractions, violations, adverse information, and any activities which affect the security posture of the facility and its assigned personnel.
- Daily oversight of a large and complex classified facility that requires a robust knowledge of NISPOM fundamentals, a security education program, badging/visitor control, office administration and support functions, and Classified and Sensitive Material Management (Document Control).
- Coordinating and collaborating with key stakeholders both in and outside of the security organization including senior level program managers, executives, U.S. Government, subcontractors, and external customers.
- Providing indirect security leadership support to a small and dynamic team of Industrial Security Professionals.
- Serves as the Facility Security Officer’s deputy with delegated responsibility to implement NISPOM and Raytheon policy/procedure; serves as acting FSO in the absence of the FSO.
- Develops, leads, and organizes key projects that support security initiatives at the site or as directed by contractual/policy requirement.
- Briefing employees, customers, and contractors to include indoctrination, new hire orientation, Closed Area procedures, security incident reeducation, and local security events.
Qualifications You Must Have
- A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience
- Ability to develop solutions to a variety of complex situations
- Experience and understanding of the fundamentals of 32 CFR Part 177 NISPOM Rule
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
- Master’s degree in business administration/management, Security, and/or Risk Management, Government Policy, Information Management, Criminal Justice, or other related major
- An active and in-scope U.S. Top Secret clearance.
- Interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communication/interface with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) and other high-level leadership.
- Supervisor/leadership skills
- Understanding of Raytheon’s Security Systems including Resolver, Access Commander, Visitor Management System, and/or other government security systems (DISS, NISS)
- Experience in other Security disciplines to include Physical Security, Closed Area Construction, Counterintelligence, Information Assurance, and/or Personnel Security.
