• Monitor and oversee the service provided by GHA to ensure it is in line with EK standards, including build instruction, maximization of available space, load control, safety and ad hoc flight instruction


• Resolve problems arising such as delays, disruptions, cargo mishandling and transfer cargo in order to minimize cargo off loadings and maximize utilization of space available


• Monitor import cargo receipts and resolve any related issues


• Prepare and verify accurate cargo documentation, including monitoring of consignment status and ensuring correct documentation is available in accordance with local regulation and company policies


• Update flight handling reports including identification and monitoring of irregularities and discrepancies


• Dispatch post flight information to the correct departments in a timely manner.


• Resolve customer queries, complaints and claims, including those escalated by Cargo Agents


• Provide operational support and cover operational duties e.g. freighter, as directed by the Cargo Supervisor/Officer and Manager


• Act as the senior in charge where no Supervisor is on duty and provide support, guidance and coaching to Cargo Agents.


• Receive and process cargo telephone reservations and email communications in a prompt, accurate and efficient manner


• Handle Customer requests for ad hoc quotes, in coordination with Pricing and Capacity Control departments


• Distribute announcements to the Turkish market, prepare and distribute tariffs and contracts


• Complete the monthly roster and maintain training and leave records


• Complete AWB stock transactions


• Focus on special products and in co-operation with the Cargo Supervisor, identify and select shipments that will produce high sector revenue on each flight


• Handle special product shipments (e.g. pharmaceuticals, automobiles, AVI)


• Investigate and respond to queries, complaints and claims received from internal and external customers in an efficient and timely manner


• Update and maintain Cargo Systems in order to provide the requisite customer service information, including rate filing and facilitate accurate revenue accounting


• Complete administrative duties as directed by the Cargo Supervisor, including data entry, statistics and reports

• Bachelors Graduate 


• Proven experience in Cargo Reservations and in Cargo Operations,


• including at least 2 years as a Cargo Agent (or equivalent)


• Awareness of IATA cargo standards and procedures. Cargo acceptance &


• handling, knowledge of air cargo product


• Knowledge of Dangerous Goods regulations and currently holds / has previously held a DG and Live Animal Regulations certificate


• PC based skills including Microsoft Word/ Excel/ E-mail & PowerPoint


• A good appreciation of the concept of customer service


• Analytical and numeracy skills


• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels


• Ability to work under pressure


• Ability to proactively solve problems


• Fluent written and verbal communication skills in both Turkish and English


• Valid driving licence
