Job Description:
Core Responsibilities:
- Maintains all necessary logs, records and reports for CMM inspection results
- Issues gage recalls for inspection and re-calibration purposes.
- Practice safe work habits, and maintain a clean working environment
- Continuously builds technical skills in area of expertise and performs other duties as required.
- Learn and adhere to required safety standards and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 to 3 years layout inspection experience preferred
- Minimum of 3 years in a parts manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in CMM operation and programming preferred.
- Working knowledge of the use of measuring instruments, i.e. various micrometers, verniers, swing, snap, and dial gauges, etc. desirable.
- Read and understand part drawings, internal process instructions and other technical data to perform dimensional inspection activities.
- Proficient in the application of GD&T.
- Ability to define problems collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to support corrective action activities.
- Strong mathematical skills, to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- Compliance with general attendance standards is required.
Entry level Trainee Qualifications:
- Solid job history including more than 1 year at previous or recent employer.
- Minimum of 3 years in a parts manufacturing environment.
- Strong mathematical skills, to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- Capable of reading and understanding written instructions, procedures, safety rules and operating instructions.
- Proficient in the use of computer applications and have the ability to quickly learn new applications.
- Ability to learn how to read blueprints and GD&T.
- Compliance with general attendance standards is required.
Education Requirements:- High School Diploma or GED required.
