The Certifying Staff part 145 will issue the declaration of release to service after in-company maintenance of engines/accessories/components, making sure that all the maintenance operations specified in the customer purchase order have been properly performed by the company organization, in compliance with the applicable procedures and with the approved maintenance data, and verified that there are no non-conformities that could compromise flight safety.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Follow the necessary courses in a timely and diligent manner in order to get and, successively, keep active the CIT (Certificato d’Idoneità Tecnica) issued by Italian Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC)
Knowledge of the EASA Rules for Continuing Airworthiness and interaction with main foreign certification agencies, for which GE Avio holds the certifications
Prepare the technical documentation package necessary for the release of the product and issuing the airworthiness certification in accordance with EASA part 145 regulation
Carry out all needed inspections, aimed at ensuring that all the operations required by the maintenance process of the component, module and accessory have been completed, correctly marked and recorded on the workshop documentation in compliance with customer requirement and applicable technical documentation
Support the investigation activities on engines, modules and components
Qualification/Requirements
Masters Degree in Engineering from an accredited university
Strong experience in a design/manufacturing/quality role in an aerospace industrial field
Ability to read and comprehend technical drawings
Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes and provide efficient solutions
Ability to handle diverse activities simultaneously
Good organizational skills
Ability to work in a matrix organization
English and Italian fluent
Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
Desired Characteristics
Knowledge of the aeronautical maintenance technologies and aeronautical regulations
Previous experience as Certifying Staff
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively with external Customers and internally in the Organization
