Position Summary
To perform all of the required manufacturing functions for the Coating area.
Responsibilities
- Must be able to setup and run all related equipment.
- Monitor equipment and process output.
- Inspect for in process quality as well as support the LEAN and HP culture.
- Read/follow written process instructions and follow verbal instructions. Read and understand internal SOP.
- Solve problems in areas of quality, materials, and equipment.
- Works to a daily schedule and must meet or exceed output targets by understanding the product flow and handling procedures within the department.
- Required to work with chemicals such as cleaning solvents, paints, adhesives and primers.
- Communicates well between departments to notify others and coordinator when issues arise.
- Forklift truck and hand jacks to lift and move materials to stockroom or the next work area.
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Assist Process Engineers in solving issues.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all machines in the Coating Area.
- Complete all internal departmental documentation accurately and on time.
- Perform all tasks as requested and assigned by management.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Must possess High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- 2 – 4+ years of manufacturing experience required
- Ability to read and follow instructions.
- Problem solving ability.
- Work independently as well as in a team atmosphere with minimal supervision and excellent time management skills are a necessity.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to work in a team environment and be a team player.
- Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization as well as outside services and at meetings.
- Must be able to adjust quickly to changes in priorities, be goal-driven and self-motivated.
- Basic computer skills with Microsoft Windows
- Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent resident.
- Must demonstrate effective understanding and use of verbal and written English communication skills.
