PAL Aerospace is currently seeking a Cost Coordinator to join our team in St. John&39;s, NL.
The Cost Coordinator will bring together financial data utilizing PAL software with a focus on cost. Working in the finance forecasting team on site, you will be responsible for preparing timely assessment of cost spend measured against budget and forecast. You will access PAL systems to bring together cost information and prepare reports for project and operations stakeholders. You would support project management teams, accounting teams, and operations with financial forecasting. As a member of the finance forecast team, your data and analysis would be a part of the support driving decisions and supporting development of metrics, performance indicators, and business processes.
As an intermediate finance role, the successful candidate would have experience in a project cost environment coupled with an accounting background. The candidate would be very comfortable using the Microsoft Office software suite and a power user of Excel. Experience with Microsoft Great Plains and WinAir software would be an asset. As a candidate you would have completed your business or accounting education and on a path to your CPA designation.
Duties:
Using PAL financial systems your duties will include:
- Extract, format, and review data and spend information for multiple projects, and divisions.
- Review and Itemize purchase orders and apply to project files.
- Extract detailed vendor and cost information from accounting systems.
- Prepare summary expense reports for projects and divisions.
- Support forecasts, budgets, and ad hoc reporting.
- Support Accounting group as required.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated flexibility and able to adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Strong commitment to meeting deadlines and effective time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Microsoft Office suite with strong working knowledge of Excel.
- The ability to excel in a team environment and contribute to a diverse team.
- Completed your technical training or bachelor’s degree in business finance or accounting. On a pathway to your CPA or CPA designation would be an asset.
