Salary Range: $22-25 hr. DOE
Position Summary
Maintains premises, rest, and working areas of offices and industrial buildings in clean and orderly condition. Performs a combination of dusting furniture, walls, fixtures, or equipment; sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing, or buffing floors; removing refuse; polishing furniture, fixtures, or trimmings; providing janitorial supplies; and cleaning lavatories, showers, or restrooms. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, or crawl.
Responsibilities
- Maintains premises, rest, and working areas of offices and industrial buildings in clean and orderly condition.
- Dusting furniture, walls, fixtures, or equipment.
- Sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing, or buffing floors.
- Removing refuse.
- Cleaning lavatories, showers, or restrooms.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing cleaning tasks, including the proper use of equipment, cleaning chemicals, and personal protective equipment.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements.
- High school diploma or GED with 5 years of relevant janitorial work experience.
- Experience with daily cleaning and maintaining designated spaces inside of the facility, which includes the lobby, restrooms, breakrooms, offices, conference rooms, and off sight corporate apartments.
- Must have experience with floor buffers, carpet shampooers, and other cleaning equipment.
- Must have experience with using cleaning supplies, chemicals, and hazardous materials.
- Valid state driver's license.
- U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance.
Desired Experience/Skills
- Knowledgeable of health and safety policies and procedures, and with occupational hazards safety rules.
- Background in handling, mixing, and storing cleaning chemicals.
- Monitoring and reporting necessary domestic repairs and replacements.
- Reporting needs and concerns to appropriate staff, which may include submitting or recommending work orders and checking supply levels.
Physical Demands:
- Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds (with assistance, if required).
- Regular use of hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls, reaching with hands and arms.
- Regularly ascend/descend stairs and/or ladders.
Work Authorization and Environment
- Must be lawfully eligible to work in the United States and complete a U.S. government I-9 Form.
- Tactical Air Support is a Drug & Alcohol-Free Workplace. Pre-employment, random, or for cause drug/alcohol testing (including for marijuana) is required.
- Occasional aircraft hangar or warehouse environment with exposure to loud noises, fumes from engines and chemicals, unpredictable climate (hot/cold), electrical shock, or trip or slip hazards.
- May be exposed to or required to handle hazardous materials.
- Specific work hours are determined by operational, departmental, or contractual requirements.
- Occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime work may be required.
- Occasional travel to various work sites throughout the U.S. may be required.
