MAG is looking for a Data Development Subject Matter Expert (SME) to assist the Next Generation Threat System (NGTS) software development team in the creation of high-fidelity platform, sensor and weapons models to support warfighter training, platform testing, analysis and research and development. The NGTS software is multi-service, government designed, government owned and managed software that models threat and friendly aircraft, ground units, space, surface and subsurface platforms, corresponding weapons and subsystems and their interactions in a realistic digital theater environment. As a Data Development SME, you will apply tactical knowledge and use intelligence data to create representative behavioral models of both blue and red warfare systems, including complex surface-to-air missile systems, radars and jammer models, supporting the deployment of NGTS to multiple services. The NGTS software allows the warfighter to execute advanced missions in a highly-complex, high-end and threat-dense environments, not possible in open-air ranges. Thereby, delivering a vital capability to enable warfighters to experience and dominate todays threats by executing honed tactics, techniques, and procedures on a digital range.

Hybrid Schedule defined: required to complete onsite training periodd (2-3months) with team, then onsite 1-2 times a week.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to
- Perform TechELINT analysis on complex waveforms associated with a wide range of red and blue force systems.
- Work with software programmers to develop and refine simulation presentation of real-world ELINT parametric data.
- Perform signal translation of waveform data into a descriptive and behavioral modeling & Simulation language for Development and Test.
- Conducts specific technical duties on NGTS, performing threat system analysis and sensor modeling of radars, electronic warfare (EW) systems, countermeasures, electro-optical and infrared (EO/IR) systems, and various weapons.

Conducts specific sensor research, analysis, correlation, and assessment in order to reproduce the sensor as a software model through a suite of NGTS data editing tools.
Participate in software test activities to include test procedure creation and test plan development.
Understand and discuss simulation requirements with the customers, document and track these requirements, and provide technical input to modelers with regards to fidelity, accuracy, and intended use as well as to act as liaison with aircrew and program leads.
Requirements
Knowledge and Skills
- Must have prior significant tactical military aviation experience in Fighter, Attack, Support aircraft, or Rotary wing experience with at least one of the sensors/systems listed below:
- An aircrew, ground operator, or flight test environment.
- Radar, radar warning receivers, threat system analysis, countermeasures, EO/IR, air-to-air weapons, air-to-ground weapons, surface-to-air models, or other electronic Warfare system.
- Must have Recent and relevant knowledge of tactics, training, and procedures for deployment of those systems in a current combat environment.
Education and Experience
Desired Requirements
- Prior experience as an Electronic Warfare Operator, Flag Plot Analyst, or a Threat Training SME will also be considered.
- Basic knowledge of XML files is preferable.
- NGTS experience is preferred but not required.
- Prior experience supporting Model and Simulation efforts.
- Prior experience performing software testing.

Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $80500 to $149500 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAGs total compensation package for employees.
