Job overview and responsibilities

As part of the Airport Experience team, this individual will work very closely to support and enhance various applications that helps serving millions of customers at the airport. The developer will apply proven technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, resolve issues, find opportunities of improvement. The Developer is self-sufficient in completing assigned tasks requiring minimal supervision.
• Design, develop and modify software applications/systems according to specifications.
• Consults with Subject Matter Experts, Business Analysts, Tech Leads and User Experience Designers on potential software solutions for business specifications.
• Provides support to the engineers, architects, during design, implementation, and operationalization at airports.
• Supports and troubleshoots software systems as required, helps optimizing performance, resolving problems, and providing follow-up on all issues and solutions.
• Develop appropriate software documentations.
• Complete comprehensive unit testing on all developed/enhanced software components.
• Works on moderate to complex projects in highly automated environments.
• Participates actively in Agile ceremonies and provide updates.
• Demonstrate knowledge of development methodologies, software design and design patterns, integration standards as well as its applicability at coding and testing cycles.
• Demonstrate knowledge of software engineering best practices such as: version controlling, software packaging and software release management

  • Design, develop and modify software applications/systems according to specifications
  • Supports and troubleshoots software systems as required, helps optimizing performance, analyzing & resolving problems, and providing follow-up on all issues and solutions according to the ITSM practices
  • Complete comprehensive unit testing on all developed/enhanced software components, provides functional and performance testing support
  • Develop appropriate software documentations.
  • Participates actively in Incident Bridge calls, agile ceremonies and provide updates
  • Completes version controlling, software packaging and software release management
  • Applies Secure coding practices, remediates vulnerabilities and scanning issues
This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded. This position is for United Airlines Business Services Pvt. Ltd - a wholly owned subsidiary of United Airlines Inc.
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems and/or equivalent work experience
  • 3 + years of experience in Angular, Git, AWS (e.g. EKS, DynamoDB, RDS, Lambda), Agile
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Preferred

  • Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems
  • AWS Developer Certification
  • Experience and Knowledge of Datadog/Dynatrace, Net Core, REST Api, CI/CD - Harness/TeamCity, SonarQube,
