Job Title: Diesel Mechanic
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Dulles International Airport. This role involves servicing catering trucks, performing preventative maintenance, and diagnosing and repairing medium-duty trucks and diesel engines.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on medium-duty trucks
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines and air brakes
- Read and interpret schematics
- Work on hydraulic systems and understand their functions
- Diagnose and repair electrical issues with trucks
- Conduct wiring diagnostics
- Address check engine lights and drivability issues
Essential Skills- Preventive maintenance
- Hydraulics
- Diesel engine repair and diagnostics
- Electrical experience
- Truck engine diagnosis
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Valid drivers license
- Ability to obtain an airport SIDA badge
- At least 1 year of diesel experience

Work Environment
You will receive work assignments via tablets and handle tasks such as preventative maintenance, check engine lights, and brake repairs. The fleet consists mainly of diesel trucks with a few gas engine trucks. Light repairs and maintenance are primarily conducted at IAD. The team comprises four mechanics and one manager. Work is performed off the ramp with shift hours from 2PM-10:30PM. Training will be from 6AM-2:30PM until you are comfortable. Flexibility on days off is required, as they will be during the week (e.g., Wednesday/Thursday or Tuesday/Wednesday).
