We are hiring for a EH&S Specialist in Miami Gardens, FL. Will lead and drive regulatory compliance and adherence to EH&S standards, Implement EH&S programs and fostering a culture of collaboration and shared responsibility. Engage with all levels of our workforce, youll implement EH&S initiatives and provide critical EHS functional support to the site EH&S manage. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining a safe workplace and achieving excellence in EH&S performance.
This position will be working in an Onsite capacity.
1st shift Typically Mon. - Fri.
What You Will Do:
.
- Implementation and upkeep of EHS management system and programs
- Build strategic partnership at site across all levels of the organization to foster EH&S culture improvement
- Provide critical EHS functional support to the site EH&S manager to ensure all site actions are completed promptly in a safe manner.
- Assist in developing overall strategy and policy deployment for continuous improvement in EHS.
- Fully responsible for the planning, organizing, coordinating and administering of activities associated with EHS safety programs.
- Work closely with line management to ensure timely implementation of corporate and local requirements
- Provide EHS training to all levels of employees
- Provide support for sites projects and contractors safety program.
- Maintain and improve sites emergency response plan.
- Understand site’s processes and equipment and their relevant hazards and ensure that associated risks are sustained at an acceptable level.
- Collaborate with facility and maintenance teams to abate safety risks reported on the shop floor
What You Will Learn:

- Lead and implement EH&S programs, overseeing their implementation and ensuring alignment with industry best practices
- Learn to provide expert technical guidance to senior leadership, ensuring effective implementation of EH&S Management System requirements
- Learn to ensure timely and accurate reporting of EH&S metrics, providing insights into performance and areas for improvement.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior EH&S, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience implementing OSHA, and EPA requirements.
- Prior experience leading EH&S program implementation.
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here:

Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience developing and implementing environmental programs or campaigns
- Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
- Manufacturing environment experience.
- Education or experience in EH&S regulatory compliance, safety culture, and/or EH&S management systems
- Experience in supporting incident management from investigation through corrective action implementation

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
