An offer entitled &34;Electrical components test engineer&34; has just opened within Airbus Helicopters on its Marignane site.
The integration of more electrical functions on helicopters (replacing mechanical and hydraulic systems,) as well as the growing demand for advanced services by customers (video, entertainment, etc…) leads to significant technical challenges, in particular in terms of electrical components choice and qualification.
To support the development of those technologies, AIRBUS Helicopters is opening an exciting new position for an experienced electrical test engineer. In this position, you will be in charge of managing and realizing a wide variety of laboratory tests to :
Support the qualification of electrical components (cables, connectors, lugs, electromechanical components, circuit protection devices, etc…)
Assess the performance and reliability of electrical equipments
Analyze the root causes of failure in case of incidents on helicopters electrical system
You will be part of Electrical components metier, which is a transnational organization shared between Donauwörth (Germany) and Marignane. The position will be located in Marignane.
The team is part of the LMP Engineering department – Laboratory Materials and Processes.
Occasional business travel is to be expected and therefore you will need to be willing to travel accordingly.
This position requires security clearance or requires being eligible for clearance by recognized authorities.
Tasks and responsibilities:
As the electrical lab engineer, you will contribute to the following main activities:
Design and plan experimental test campaigns needed to assess the performance and reliability of electrical components and equipments (in relation with components / equipment specialists)
Prepare the experimental setups to implement the tests
Realize / manage test campaigns
Produce / validate associated test reports
Propose innovative experimental approaches and setups to address specific investigations
Support internal electrical laboratory operation (preventive and curative maintenance of means, create / update equipments and test procedures documentation, etc…)
In your missions, you will be in relation with :
LMP teams and LMP management in France and in Germany
All AIRBUS Group Business Units (Airbus Commercial, Airbus Defense & Space)
Internal customers within Airbus Helicopters : Design Office, Manufacturing, Final Assembly Lines, Flight tests, Support to end customer
Suppliers, sub-contractors

Skills & Prerequisites:
You have the following competences, experience and personal skills :
Engineering degree and/or PhD in the domain of electrical systems testing
Significant experience in R&D, industrial engineering and project management
Technical knowledge in the following fields :
Team spirit, reliable, open minded, and able to federate on technical challenges
Ability to collaborate with various internal and external partners
Strongly customer and result oriented
- Language skills:
English: Negociation
French: Negociation
German would be a plus
