Job Responsibilities:
- To operate the process wastewater treatment plant including sampling of effluent, influent, groundwater, and surface water
- Back up the landfill operator position including handling waster generated with the plant and maintaining the landfill site
Qualifications:
- 2 years post-secondary diploma in environmental studies

Job Responsibilities:
- Operate, maintain, and clean the wastewater treatment plant
- Operate and maintain the sewage treatment plant
- Perform settleability studies on waste streams
- Collect effluent samples as per Ontario Ministry of Environment (MOE) established protocol and prepare samples for shipment to the outside laboratory
- Calibrate flow monitors
- Keep records of sampling and flow monitoring per MOE requirements
- Perform waste audits within the plant to reduce waste
- Sample surface water and groundwater from the landfill site
Qualifications:
- Must be a graduate of a post-secondary environmental technician program as a minimum.
- Preference will be given to applicants having previous experience in wastewater treatment and holding a valid Ontario Ministry of Environment Level I or Level II wastewater treatment operator’s licence.
