Export Control & Data Custodian (f/m)

Job Description:

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for an Export Control & Data Custodian (f/m) to be based in Toulouse, France.

You will join the Avionics Products Development Department within Avionics & Simulation Domain which is Airbus avionics equipment internal supplier.

We are a team of 30 people.

The Avionics & Simulation Domain is a human-size entity (about 560), which designs, develops, manufactures & supports a wide panel of strategic avionics products (Flight Control Computers, Flight Warning Computers, Air Traffic System) for all Airbus Civil Aircraft Programs, A400M, MRTT & on ATR and provides simulation solutions from the design validation to pilot’s training.

The Avionics & Simulation Domain exchanges with many various stakeholders within Airbus Commercial Aircraft (Design Offices, Test Centers, FAL…), within Airbus Group (subsidiary companies, joint ventures…) and externally (airlines, MRO, partners, subcontractors…) all over the world.

Within this large and exciting environment, you will play a key role in shaping the future of Avionics & Simulation Domain, driving data management, strategies and solutions to deliver step-change improvements in all our operations. You will have the opportunity to make an early impact on the future strategy for the business in a high visibility role working with stakeholders across the organisation.

• Contribute to the Classification avionics activities

• Ensure all aspects regarding Compliance recordkeeping and traceability all along the concerned item lifecycle (identification of items flows, compliance dependencies, recipients, verification of the authorisations and licences)

• Collaborate in the development, maintenance and effective application of the TCP (Technology Control Plan)

• Develop internal network with EPOC (Export Control Points of Contact) and external network with Legal and other Engineering entities

• Develop a strategy for the domain, in coordination with Program, Design, Manufacturing, Support and Simulation teams and other key stakeholders;

• Establish a roadmap with short, medium and long-term plans to deploy the Domain Data Management strategy. Drive and support various initiatives to deliver the roadmap;

• Develop partnering with requirement owner (legal, export control, personal data, Antitrust,. …) to ensure data compliance with internal/external regulation/policies;

• Develop partnering with existing data officers network in order to ease and accelerate data usage and availability and contribute to overall company target to manage Data as an Asset

• Being aware about the value of data and the challenges of working with it

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Problem solver who will own issues until full resolution.

• Curious and creative with innovative &34;out of the box thinking&34;.

• Strong presentation and communication skills - can present concepts in a clear manner to customers and senior management.

• Find below the knowledges and experience that would be a plus for this role (not mandatory):

- Knowledge of basics of Export Control

- Knowledge and experience of Data Management and Data Analytics

- Knowledge of Avionics & Simulation domain processes, methods and tools would be a plus.

• Advanced level of English and French

Salary range based on the required profile: 60 to 70 K/year (including a variable part based on your performance). Information provided as an indication.
