Avio Aero is more and more reinforcing the focus to excellence in aeronautical Low pressure turbines (LPT) and in particular on LPT casings design.
In this spirit, we are looking for a design engineer, expected to work in close contact with our FEM focal point in preserving and developing internal FE competences as well as in supervising all the FE analyses performed within the LPT casings commodity for component design modifications, new engine missions, technical substantiations for new repair activities, investigations, customer support, assessment of technical nonconformances, cost-out activities.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Consolidate internal knowledge on FE analyses for LPT casings activities, adhering to GEA standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
Be able to perform complex analyses to support the team in urgent tasks, in line with Program schedule
Support FEM focal point in defining workscope, inputs and boundaries for analyses to be performed in outsourcing as well as in supervising and checking the results/reports of those analyses
Research, develop and test new FEM tools and methodologies, as requested to solve new problems as well as to improve team effectiveness.
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Engineering (mechanical or aeronautical preferred) or High School Diploma in related field with experience in similar roles
English and Italian language knowledge, both written and oral
PC proficiency
Strong experience in FEM analyses, possibly with Ansys tool and possibly applied to mechanical or aeronautical structures
Work Visa, according with local regulation, is required.

Experience with CAD tools
Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
