Position Summary
Tactical Air is currently seeking a Facility Security Officer (FSO) to execute our Industrial Security Program. This position supports facility clearance, personnel clearances, classified information systems, and secure communications programs across multiple contracts, locations, and business segments. The FSO will also serve as the company's Insider Threat Program Senior Official (ITPSO) and is responsible for the program, training, and execution of the program. The position will interact with all levels of employees, management, and government agencies to certify contract security compliance with all aspects of the National Industrial Security Program. Potential career progression based on performance to include COMSEC Manager and classified Information System administration.
Responsibilities
- Lead and administer the company's FCL, PCL, ITP, and OPSEC Programs.
- Lead the ITP as the Senior Official and fulfill all training and reporting requirements.
- Assisting with the company's Communications Security (COMSEC) Program including receiving and shipping CCI, submitting reports to NSA, successfully completing inventories and audits, and interacting with subcontractors, vendors, and customers regarding COMSEC transactions.
- Administer day-to-day personnel processing, program reviews, document control system, audits & self-inspections, violation investigations & reports, receipt/transmission/destruction records for classified material, mail logs, visit certs, and other security-related duties as required
- Provide security support for the Contractor Deliverable Requirements List (CDRL) and contract execution as required.
- Perform the daily security and clearance matters, including the processing of CACs, access nomination packages, courier letters, visit requests, security training and briefs, foreign travel, and receiving visitors.
- Liaison with external security agencies.
- Update and execute the security Standard Practice and Procedures (SPP) and other security plans.
- Initiate and maintain classified IS Authorization to Operate and associated System Security Plans, policies, and Incident Response Plans.
Requirements
- Three - five years of experience as an FSO.
- Experience serving as the Insider Threat Program Senior Official (ITPSO).
- Experience in assisting a classified IS security program.
- Thorough working knowledge of the NISPOM, other relevant DoD security guidance as well as the Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) standards.
- Demonstrated use of security databases such as DISS, NBIS, eQIP/eAPP, ISFD, NISS, eMASS, and/or DIBNet.
- Experience creating and conducting initial security briefings, debriefings, indoctrinations, pre/post foreign travel briefings, and refresher briefings, as appropriate.
- Strong PC-based computer skills using Microsoft Office, Smartsheets, and virtual office/cloud-based file sharing.
- Valid state driver's license.
- U.S. Citizenship with a current and active DoD TS security clearance.
Desired Experience/Skills
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience developing and implementing Operational Security (OPSEC) Programs and plans.
- Industrial Security Professional (ISP) Certification.
- Prior aviation industry or federal contractor experience.
Physical Demands
- Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds (with assistance, if required).
- Regularly ascend/descend stairs and/or ladders.
- COMSEC Account Manager or Assistant COMSEC Manager
Work Authorization
- Must be lawfully eligible to work in the United States and complete a U.S. government I-9 Form.
- Tactical Air Support is a Drug & Alcohol-Free Workplace. Pre-employment, random, or for cause drug/alcohol testing (including for marijuana) is required.
- Occasional aircraft hangar or warehouse environment with exposure to loud noises, fumes from engines and chemicals, unpredictable climate (hot/cold), electrical shock, or trip or slip hazards.
- Specific work hours are determined by operational, departmental, or contractual requirements.
- Occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime work may be required.
- Occasional travel to various work sites throughout the U.S. may be required.
