Position Summary
The Facility Security Officer maintains the overall security program for cleared contractor facility to Establish and maintain successful working relationships with government and internal customers. The Facility Security Officer (FSO) position plays an integral role in ensuring the effective implementation and company’s adherence to all security related issues. This position oversees, monitors and reports on all security aspects concerning Government security requirements, policies, procedures and physical security programs and activities concerning both regular and cleared facilities. Will act as the primary point of contact / advisor to senior leadership and Government personnel on all site physical and security compliance actions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Maintain overall security program for cleared contractor facility
- Establish and maintain successful working relationships with government and internal customers
- Prepare the facility for Annual Security Inspections with DCSA.
- Update and distribute security briefings as required
- Maintain COMSEC account
- Process new employee security clearances
- Track security clearance investigations and perform administrative support functions to include Defense Information Security System (DISS)/National Background Investigative Services (NBIS) administration
- Provide security briefings, debriefings, and awareness training for site personnel
- Process necessary badge requests for government facilities
- Processing outgoing visit requests and certifications
- Prepare, issue and maintain prime and sub DD254s
- Review of required forms, process, and screen of security forms (SF86, SF85) for various background investigation and associated paperwork for accuracy
- Implement security policy and direction consistent with the Company and Government regulations
- Provide answers/analyses to address questions and concerns from management
- Coordinate collection of electronic fingerprints and upload into SWIFT database
- Process foreign travel and visitors
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities
- Implement loss prevention preventatives
- Alert company of policy and procedures for safety proposes in entry and closures, address concerns and issues
- Announce third party unclassified visitors entering the property.
- Participate in new candidate onboarding process/due outs.
- Assist with employee entry and release.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- 2-3 years experience as a Alternate Facility Security Officer (AFSO) or Facility Security Officer (FSO).
- Working knowledge of NISPOM requirements for a possessing facility needed.
- Requires strong working knowledge of DISS, NBIS, NISS, and e-APP.
- Experience in processing SF-86, SF-312, Security Investigations and Periodic Reinvestigation. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Excellent presentation, briefing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work well independently and in a dynamic and collaborative team environment.
- Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.
- Required to wear closed-toe shoes in designated areas.
- Position requires sitting and standing duties, transport upstairs, bending, swooping, and Kneeling.
Education
- Must have a high school diploma.
Clearance
- Must hold an active Top Secret clearance.
Desired Requirements
- Prior experience in government contracting
- Previous IC or DoD interaction/service and support experience
- B.S. or B.A. degree or relevant work experience

The projected compensation range for this position is $70000 to $130000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAGs total compensation package for employees.
