Air Inuit has been providing essential scheduled, charter, cargo and emergency air transportation services to Nunavik and beyond, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, for 45 years. Owned collectively by the Inuit of Nunavik through the Makivik Corporation, the airline operates a fleet of 30 aircraft and employs over 1,000 people in one of the worlds most demanding flying environments.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The primary task of the GSE Purchaser is to maintain the required inventory in Montreal and Nunavik, including the preparation and dispatch of work orders to the vehicle technicians. Additionally, the GSE Purchaser will assist the technicians with the acquisition of parts and consumables. The GSE Purchaser will maintain a clean and organised work area as well as ensuring a safe work environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Store items in tool room or supply area;
- Unloading parts and stocking shelves, Process incoming requisitions;
- Prepare requisition orders to replenish parts and supplies;
- Maintain records on inventory control system;
- Issue and distribute parts and supplies for internal use;
- Receive, unpack and sort incoming parts, supplies and materials;
- Identify, label and catalogue items received;
- Ship, deliver or pick up parts, products or equipment;
- Manage schedules;
- Plan work and prepare work orders for mechanics;
- Schedule 3rd party maintenance providers and manage travel;
- Communicate with outside vendors for follow up of repairs;
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Carry out any other tasks necessary and required by the company.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Background/knowledge of automotive, industrial, and heavy-duty afterspanet parts;
- 5 years of applicable experience;
- Ability to use various computer programs;
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Valid Class G Driver’s License;
- Forklift certification an asset;
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs;
- Bilingual;
EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS
- Work location – Air Inuit Technical Center - Montreal-Trudeau airport;
- 37.5 hrs per week (Modified work weeks are offered to help our employees balance their work/home life)
- Company provided uniform.
COMPENSATION
- Compensation and benefits are determined in accordance with corporate policy;
- Hourly wage starting at $24.63
